The city centre of ‘s-Hertogenbosch has hardly changed over the past five centuries; Hieronymus would still no doubt still know his work around. For instance, his workshop, at Markt 29, has been preserved; even when, in Bosch year 2016, the shop building next door collapsed during a renovation.

Markt 29 was restored and is now the House of Bosch, a commemorative place to visit. Facing it is the master himself, as a statue created by sculptor August Falise in 1930.

Discover the city of Bosch! On foot, by bike and by water. The city still breathes his time and work, in heritage and nature, culture and contemporary art.

In Het Noordbrabants Museum, for example, where you can see works by Bosch’s successors and Pieter Breughel the Elder in the permanent presentation, in addition to changing exhibitions. In the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center where you can admire full-size digital replicas of all of Bosch’s paintings. At the Zwanenbroedershuis with its magnificent 16th-century choir books.

On the Binnendieze, where you can experience the underside of the centuries-old city by whisper boat. In the tower of St John’s Cathedral which offers a wonderful view of the city of Bosch.
