‘Zij zijn de Oliejagers: ‘De Voorbode’
Not only are Thjeu and Vince Donders brothers, they are also fellow artists who collaborate closely with one another. Climate change was the inspiration for their Bosch Parade project Zij zijn de Oliejagers, which roughly translates as They are the Oil Hunters.
The exploitation of oil accelerated progress. But the downside was not predicted…. The toxic black substance flows through to every vein of our society. If it is not stopped, it will eventually clog up that vein. For us it is not yet too late. It is for them.
They are the oil hunters. Their search for the black gold drives them mad. Their barge, built from the waste of our civilization, lurches on. Without rest, always searching.
Bosch Parade supports young talent and helps them, together with the ‘kickstarter for art and design talent’ KOP, on their way to the national and international stages.
